2025 Capital Area Student Leadership Application

Thank you for your interest in Capital Area Student Leadership (CASL). New Hampshire's only regional student leadership program has been in existence for more than 25 years, graduated over 700 leaders and is offered annually through the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, thanks to the generous support of program sponsor Northeast Delta Dental.

Requirements

CASL is open to high school sophomores who either reside in or attend school in the Greater Concord area (visit our CASL webpage to confirm that you're eligible for the program). CASL participants are expected to attend all program dates. There is a small amount of required reading and homework.

Program Details

Applications for the 2025 program must be received by Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered. All students who apply will be interviewed at their school in the month of January, and the class will be announced by February 1. Please review the following program dates prior to applying. Participants are expected to attend all events and sessions:

Student/Family Opening Reception: Tuesday, February 18 from 5:30-6:30 PM

Orientation at NH Audubon: Monday, March 3 from 4:30-7:30 PM

History, Arts, Culture & Community: Wednesday, March 5 from 8 AM to 3 PM

Communications: Wednesday, March 12 from 8 AM to 3 PM

Law & the Judicial Process + Graduation: Wednesday, March 19 from 8 AM to 6 PM

    Snow date: Wednesday, March 26

Transportation to and from the CASL session days is not provided. If this could be a limiting factor for you to participate, we can discuss options during the interview process.

CASL tuition is $50 per student. Tuition assistance is available; information will be sent to you upon selection into the program.

Breakfast and lunch are provided at all session days, and dinner is provided at Orientation.

Students who cannot attend all program dates and/or arrange for transportation to and from the program session days are asked to refrain from applying and to leave that slot available for another student who can benefit from CASL.
